Driven Mini Club 2020!

We believe that mini club is a time for any player, regardless of experience level, to learn and grow in the sport. We will have a Placement Day where players will be placed on a team based on age and experience level. The goal in mini club is to learn the sport/grow in skill in a more relaxed environment for a shorter season than traditional club season.

*Due to COVID-19, we will not enter any tournaments. Instead, we will have scrimmage Fridays and/or Saturdays, where we will scrimmage each other and invite another local club to scrimmage. This will be similar to Driven Scrimmage Day last mini club season, but in a smaller setting with less people.  

Mini Club Ages:

We will have teams for ages 7-15 with players being grouped by age and ability level. The focus for our younger mini club teams is to create a foundation of basic volleyball skills while learning the game in a fun and healthy environment. For our older mini club teams, we will focus on continuing training and developing skills to enhance their ability on the court, as well as master the fundamentals of volleyball to supplement middle school seasons and prepare for club season.

Week of August 10th-mid October


Placement Dates:

  • 10U- Born on or after September 1, 2010 (2nd-4th Grade): August 3rd- 5:00-6:00pm
  • 11U- Born on or after September 1, 2009 (primarily 5th Grade): August 3rd- 7:00-8:15pm
  • 12U- Born on or after September 1, 2008 (primarily 6th Grade): August 3rd- 7:00-8:15pm
  • 13U- Born on or after September 1, 2007 (primarily 7th Grade): August 4th- 7:00-8:15pm
  • 14U- Born on or after September 1, 2006 (primarily 8th Grade): August 6th- 6:00-7:15pm
  • 15U- Born on or after September 1, 2005 (primarily 9th Grade): August 6th- 4:30-5:45pm

Placement Day is mandatory and will have a $15 non-refundable registration fee.

At Placement Day, players will be given an evaluation form letting them know their level for each of the following skills: Serving, Setting, Serve Receive, Defense, Blocking (12U+), Hitting, and overall Ball Control. Based on their level evaluation (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) for each skill, they will sign up for skill clinics twice a week.

Placement Day will be held at 305 Beulah Road, Winter Garden, FL 34787 inside Faith Family Community Church. All players must have an AAU membership in order to participate. We will update club code August 15th once membership renewal process starts.

All our mini club players will sign up for two 45 minute skill sessions each week based on their Placement Day evaluations and will practice 1 day a week with their age group teams at Faith Family Community Church. Practices/skill sessions will begin the week of August 10th.

Due to COVID risk, we will not compete in mini club tournaments. Instead, we will have 2-3 scrimmage Fridays/Saturdays, where teams will compete against each other and another local club team in a smaller setting at our practice location. 


Mini Club Fee:

The cost for this mini club season is $450, plus a non-refundable $15 registration fee.


Fee will include:

  • All practices
  • 2 practice shirts
  • 1 spandex


Payment Schedule:

  • $50 due August 7th
  • $200 due August 28th
  • $200 due September 25th
