We believe that mini club is a time for any player, regardless of experience level, to learn and grow in the sport. We will have a Placement Day where players will be placed on a team based on age and experience level. The goal in mini club is to learn the sport/grow in skill in a more relaxed environment for a shorter season than traditional club season.

One positive thing that came out of COVID is that we really enjoyed the training aspect of mini club last season and want to continue with a training-focused mini club this season. As a club, we believe that mini club should be and feel totally separate from club season and give players time to train and develop with out the pressure of competing. Players will be grouped by age and experience level. They will have 1 group practice per week and two 45 minute skill clinics of their choice per week. We saw tremendous skill improvement last season and want to continue with this structure. Groups will compete in tournaments based on experience; groups with more experience will compete in 2 tournaments, groups with some experience will compete in 1 tournament, and groups with minimal experience will focus on training only with inner club scrimmages.

Mini Club Ages:


We will have teams for ages 7-14 with players being grouped by age and ability level. The focus for our younger mini club teams is to create a foundation of basic volleyball skills while learning the game in a fun and healthy environment. For our older mini club teams, we will focus on continuing training and developing skills to enhance their ability on the court, as well as master the fundamentals of volleyball to supplement middle school seasons and prepare for club season.

Season Start and End Date:

Week of August 16th-mid October

Placement Dates:

  • 10U- Born on or after July 1, 2011 (2nd-4th Grade): August 10th- 5:00-6:00pm
  • 11U- Born on or after July 1, 2010 (primarily 5th Grade): August 10th- 6:30-7:30pm
  • 12U- Born on or after July 1, 2009 (primarily 6th Grade): August 12th- 5:00-6:15pm
  • 13U- Born on or after July 1, 2008 (primarily 7th Grade): August 12th- 7:00-8:15pm
  • 14U- Born on or after July 1, 2007 (primarily 8th Grade): August 11th- 5:00-6:15pm

Placement Day is mandatory and will have a $15 non-refundable registration fee. We will not take any requests for players to play in a certain age division, with certain friends, or with carpool buddies. Players should attend the tryout above based on their birth date, not grade level.

At Placement Day, players will be given an evaluation form letting them know their level for each of the following skills: Serving, Setting, Serve Receive, Defense, Blocking (12U+), Hitting, and overall Ball Control. Based on their level evaluation (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) for each skill, they will sign up for skill clinics twice a week.

Placement Day will be held at 305 Beulah Road, Winter Garden, FL 34787 inside Faith Family Community Church. All players must have an AAU membership in order to participate. We will update club code August 15th once membership renewal process starts. 

If you are unable to attend Placement Day due to pre-scheduled summer travel, you must register and contact Amanda Serpa directly at before August 1st. Registration will close on August 1st and will not reopen.


All our mini club players will sign up for two 45 minute skill sessions each week based on their Placement Day evaluations and will practice 1 day a week with their age group teams at Faith Family Community Church. Practices/skill sessions will begin the week of August 10th.

Groups will compete in no tournaments, 1 tournament, or 2 tournaments depending on experience level– groups/ages with more experience  will compete in 2 tournaments, groups with some experience will compete in 1 tournament, and groups that are new to the sport with limited club experience will focus on training plus some inner club scrimmages.

Mini Club Fee:

The cost for this mini club season is $450 for non tournament teams and $500 for tournament teams, plus a non-refundable $15 registration fee.

Fee will include:

  • All practices/trainings
  • Tournaments if applicable
  • 1 jersey if applicable
  • 2 practice shirts
  • 1 spandex

Payment Schedule:

  • $50 (non tournament)-$100 (tournament teams) due August 14th
  • $200 due August 28th
  • $200 due September 25th
